Easter eggs and other such stuff

Just when I thought spring had sprung, and I was all ready to unearth my light weight clothing from the depths of the wardrobe, it's turned cold and nasty again.
Thank goodness that last weekend was warm and almost windless - a trip on the ferry for 7 hours is bad enough without it blowing a hooley as well.
We have just arranged to have some fairly major work done to the garden - which will probably mean selling the cats into slavery to pay for it and hefty doses of tranquillisers for human and feline alike.
Claudia has just discovered the delights of carrot cake - so I don't think that I'll be going anywhere near her litter tray for the next couple of days (hubbies job this weekend).
The babies are off for their 2nd vaccinations on Tuesday and their Mum, Maisie, is going to be neutered at the same time.
Just hope that when my vet gets round to building the extension to the surgery that he names it after me- after all I must have pretty much paid for it.
Last night I nearly burned the house down - flambe-ing steak in a brandy sauce should carry a government health warning and, should I ever be so stupid as to try it again I'll have the firebrigade on speed dial.
However- the meat tasted wonderful and so did the sauce and I don't think that the singed hair and eyebrows notice too much.
